क्या खाटू श्याम इच्छाएँ पूरी करता है?
खाटू श्याम जी का इतिहास
खाटू श्याम बड़े चमत्कारी हैं. बर्बरीक, भगवान कृष्ण के आशीर्वाद से ही खाटू श्याम बने थे. भगवान कृष्ण ने बर्बरीक को आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा था कि जो भी सच्चे मन से श्याम नाम लेगा उसकी सभी मनोकामनाएँ पूरी हो जाएगी।
खाटू श्याम कलयुग के भगवान हैं इसलिए इनके नाम में ही इतनी अधिक ताकत है कि ये रंक को राजा बना सकते हैं। ये हारे के सहारे बनकर भक्तों के सभी कष्ट दूर कर देते हैं।
हारे का सहारा
जैसा कि इस आलेख मे बताया गया है बाबा ने हारने वाले पक्ष का साथ देने का प्रण लिया था, इसीलिए बाबा को हारे का सहारा भी कहा जाता है।
हारे हुए की तरफ से युद्ध करने की प्रतिज्ञा
दादी माँ हिडिम्बा से मिले आदेश के कारण ही। भगवान श्री कृष्ण की मन में उठी समस्या के कारण ही बर्बरीक व बाबा के शीश को भगवान वासुदेव द्वारा माँगा गया। क्योंकि एक तो कुरु सेना अठारह दिनों से पहले खत्म नही हो सकती थी। तथा अन्य तथ्य यह था कि महाबली बर्बरीक हारे हुए कमजोर की तरफ से युद्ध करते इस लिए अंत में महाबली बर्बरीक के इलावा कोई नही बचता। क्योंकि जिस तरफ से वह युद्ध करते तो सामने वाला कमजोर हो जाता। फिर अपनी प्रतिज्ञा अनुसार उन्हें हारे हुए की तरफ से युद्ध करना होता। अतः अंत में केवल महाबली बर्बरीक ही जीवित रहते।
मोरछड़ी धारक
बाबा हमेशा मयूर के पंखों की बनी हुई छड़ी रखते हैं इसलिए इन्हें मोरछड़ी वाला भी कहते हैं।
युद्ध के बाद की कथा
युद्ध के बाद बर्बरीक द्वारा पाण्डवों के अभिमान का मर्दन हुआ और उसके बाद उनके शीश को रूपवती नदी में प्रवाहित किया गया। शीश बहता हुआ खाटू नामक गांव में पहुंच गया इसके बाद रूपवती नदी सुख गई और बर्बरीक का शीश वहीं दबा रह गया। उसके कई वर्षों बाद राधा नामक एक गाय थी वह गाय दूध देने में असमर्थ थी इसी कारण उसके मालिक ने उसे छोड़ दिया। गाय घूमते हुए उस स्थान पर पहुंची जहां बर्बरीक का शीश दफन था। वहां पहुंचते ही उसके थनों से दूध बहने लगा। जिसके बाद खाटू के राजा को जब इस बात का पता चला तो वे स्वयं वहां गए और वहां खुदाई करके उन्हे एक शीश दिखा जिसके पश्चात आकाशवाणी हुई कि यह ज्येष्ठ घटोत्कच पुत्र बर्बरीक का शीश है जिसे श्री कृष्णचन्द्र द्वारा उनके श्याम नाम से पूजे जाने का वर है। ये कलयुगी कृष्ण हैं। इनके लिए विशाल मंदिर का निर्माण करवाओ। आकाशवाणी के कुछ दिनों बाद मंदिर का निर्माण शुरू हुआ और देवउठनी एकादशी के दिन बर्बरीक के उस शीश की स्थापना मंदिर में हुई और वे बर्बरीक से खाटू श्याम बन गए। इसी कारण देवउठनी एकादशी के दिन बाबा श्याम का जन्मोत्सव मनाया जाता है।
