The major temples that should be visited in Mathura- Vrindavan are:
Krishna Janam Bhoomi: Located in Mathura city the temple is the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The main temple houses the prison cell where Krishna was born, along with beautifully adorned idols of baby Krishna and his parents.
Nidhivan Temple (Vrindavan): Located in a sacred forest, Nidhivan Temple is associated with Krishna’s playful Raas Leela (divine dance) with Radha and the Gopis (cowherd girls). It is believed that Krishna still performs his eternal dance here every night, and the temple enshrines his presence.
ISKCON Temple (Vrindavan): The temple, officially known as the Sri Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir, is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his brother Balarama. Visiting the ISKCON temple in Vrindavan offers a chance to experience devotional practices, immerse oneself in the teachings of Lord Krishna, and soak in the spiritual ambience of the place.
Prem Mandir (Vrindavan): It is a relatively newer temple in Vrindavan. The temple is made entirely of white marble, giving it a majestic and pristine appearance. The illuminated temple and surrounding gardens come alive with colourful lights, synchronized music, and narrations that depict the divine love story of Radha and Krishna.
Banke Bihari (Vrindavan): Banke Bihari Temple is one of the most revered and popular temples in Vrindavan, dedicated to Lord Krishna. The darshan (sight) of Banke Bihari is considered highly auspicious, and devotees eagerly wait in line to catch a glimpse of the divine deity.
Dwarkadish Mandir (Mathura): It is a prominent Hindu temple which reflects a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles, making it a visually striking and architecturally impressive structure. The best time to visit this temple is during the morning hours when Mangla Aaarti is conducted, the Aarti ceremony begins with the ringing of bells and the chanting of mantras to invoke the blessings of Lord Krishna.
